By creating an account or using Chive ("the Service"), operated by Chive ("we", "us"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
Chive is an AI-powered tool that extracts structured knowledge from video and link content you share with us via social media DMs or the web app. We save, organize, and make that knowledge searchable for you.
You own your content. The links, videos, and other content you share with us remain yours. By using Chive, you grant us a limited license to process, extract, store, and display that content back to you within the Service. We do not claim ownership of your content and will not share it publicly or with other users.
You agree not to:
Our AI extraction is provided "as is." While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or misinterpretations. You should verify important information (e.g., ingredient quantities, medical or safety instructions) before relying on it. We are not liable for actions taken based on AI-extracted content.
We aim to keep Chive available 24/7 but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice for significant changes when possible.
You can delete your account at any time from your Settings page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behavior, or remain inactive for an extended period (with notice). Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chive and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if any).
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
We may update these terms. We'll notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
